Investors

Investor Visa : In order to obtain an investor visa, the investor should invest $1,000,000 (or $500,000 in a designated target employment area or a rural area as explained in the law) in a new enterprise that employs 10 full time US citizen workers. Less than 10 employees may be possible with regional program certification.

Hawaii has a special investor program. Please contact our office to discuss specific details.

Investor v. B-1 Visa: Depending on the investment you should get an "E" investor visa. In certain circumstances it may be acceptable to apply for a B-1 visa for this purpose. You will need to show supporting documentation to the Consular official and there is generally a greater chance of denial of the B-1 visa than some other visa categories, e.g., E visa.
